Members are involved through a non-profit organization promoting and supporting the IRE. Members should be recruited from representatives of the economy and/or representatives of the regions.

The IRE is primarily funded with private means (membership fees, sponsoring and donations); therefore a non-profit association has been founded to promote the institute. You can become a member of this sponsoring organization, the so-called „Verein zur Förderung des Institutes der Regionen Europas (IRE)“, and thus participate in the IRE.

The annual membership fee is EUR 500 for regional administrative bodies and EUR 1,000 for business enterprises.

If you would like to join the IRE as a principal supporter, the annual fee is EUR 5,000 (for regions/regional administrative bodies) and EUR 10,000 (for business enterprises). As a principal supporter of the IRE, you will have additional opportunities to present your region or your organization (see Principal supporter Declaration).
